Newborn | Connor

What could be better than doing newborn pictures? Giving them as a gift to a friend of yours in honor of her first baby! Baby Connor was a very curious boy at just under 2 weeks old. He wanted to stay awake and keep an eye on me and that he did for the entire photo session! We tried everything to get him to conk out and while he drifted off just a tad he never was totally out as is typical with MOST newborns. It was a pleasure to capture these moments and be able to watch this little boy grow though his first year!
Those cute little hands :)
Catching that big yawn.
Lookin' at mama.
He had amazing neck strength for being only about a week and a half.
His room is a super hero theme so we gathered up some items from his room to do some of these super cute shots. :)
Dad had to be at work this day but we definitely kept him in mind with his favorite teams.
This is really too perfect!

Survivalist | December 2012

This was my first trip to the domes in Casa Grande and strange they are. From the road, which is now paved, you only see the exterior shells covered in a rusty yellow foam. The life of each form happens within -- some more decorated than others. Sight unseen I set up a shoot to do a survivalist theme complete with a gas mask.

This first dome is shaped very much like an alien spaceship.
Why not bring a survivalist dog while you're at it?
Hey, what's on TV?
The largest structure at the back.
The punisher.
Watch out!
The desert around the area is quite sparse and desolate.
I found this burned book. I liked the contrast of it.

July 4th Weekend | Prescott, AZ

Over the 4th of July weekend I went and spent a few days in Prescott, AZ with my family -- which consists of my husband and 2 dogs. On the first night, upon coming back from dinner this rainbow built right before our eyes. I unfortunately didn't have my camera with me but raced home and luckily it was perfectly in view from the back patio.
The next day started with a trip to Sedona's Red Rock State Park.
Some of the raspberries were starting to ripen.
Just before this picture there were a pair of does drinking from the stream. I wasn't quick enough with the telephoto to capture them but loved watching them quietly.
Welcome to my lair.
Check out this little dude who I found out is not a dragonfly but a damselfly :) My aunt Jennie informed me of the difference, I had no idea!
Up next was a trip to Bearizona. I'd never been before, but had driven by it and heard of it from past coworkers. The first lil guy to meet was this cute possum who I got to pet!
I'm admittedly not great at taking animal photos so I decided when editing these to take a different approach than my norm. I hope that you, whomever you may be, like them. :) The first is the alpha male grey wolf.

Thank you for taking a look!
